I Will Rise

I am still rather technologically ignorant (by choice, thank you) so I'm hopeful that the following link will turn purple and be available by a simple click, but I'm not certain. So, if it doesn't work, please copy and paste into your browser or go to www.youtube.com and search for this video. It is a balm to the weary soul.

I only heard this for the first time last week. And, it seems, every time I turn on the radio now it is playing again. It has become my mantra.

I don't have much to add to this except that Mom now knows what it means to conquer death. And for that, I am eternally grateful to my Lord, Jesus Christ.

Chris Tomlin "I Will Rise"
There's a peace I've come to know
Though my heart and flesh may fail
There's an anchor for my soul
I can say "It is well"

Jesus has overcome
And the grave is overwhelmed
The victory is won
He is risen from the dead

And I will rise when He calls my name
No more sorrow, no more pain
I will rise on eagles' wings
Before my God fall on my knees
And rise
I will rise

There's a day that's drawing near
When this darkness breaks to light
And the shadows disappear
And my faith shall be my eyes

Jesus has overcome
And the grave is overwhelmed
The victory is won
He is risen from the dead

And I will rise when He calls my name
No more sorrow, no more pain
I will rise on eagles' wings
Before my God fall on my knees
And rise
I will rise

And I hear the voice of many angels sing,
"Worthy is the Lamb"
And I hear the cry of every longing heart,
"Worthy is the Lamb"

And I will rise when He calls my name
No more sorrow, no more pain
I will rise on eagles' wings
Before my God fall on my knees
And rise
I will rise

  1. Beautiful. It is a wonderful feeling to know that your Mom's pain is gone because she is in the arms of her Father. I'm glad that you have this wonderful hope to cling to. Know, also, that you have a cloud of friends and loved ones who are here to support you physically, emotionally, spiritually.

    We love you...

  2. Me again. Listened to this song again today. Since I couldn't be there in person, I listened to it as a way to be there in spirit. You are being lifted up, my friend.
